4th Annual Basic Beekeepers School

The SW LA Beekeepers Association and the LSU AgCenter will present its annual Beginning Beekeepers Class on Monday, July 10th, 6-9 PM, Sheriff’s Training Center, 412 Bolivar Bishop Drive, DeRidder, LA.  The cost is $25, and the school will meet on Mondays in July and August. Topics include: bee biology, equipment, bee acquisition, hive management, hive pests and diseases, hive products, and preferred honey plants. A self-study option is available for beekeepers that have a year or two of experience.
